Well, it's Friday again. Here are a few more things that the girls got to this week.
Effective Pre-reading. Looking at different shapes/pictures. I wasn't sure how Chloe would go with this, but she's done super well. I probably could have had her doing this type of thing already. It is still early days, so well see how it goes. What I did was photocopy a couple of pages for trial purposes before I let her do the actual pages in the book. But now that I can see she's definitely ready for it we'll be getting this book out a lot this term.
Here's what our blue wall ended up being. An ocean mural. :)
Couldn't resist buying another book. I've got very nice files of these books that I can print out but I figured that it was about the same price to just buy them already done in a book.
This weeks painting - yellow and green. I gave them some foam stamps to paint and stamp with. Not the most successful thing, but anyway. Lots of fun for them though.
Another library book with a good moral in it as well.

What is your resource for the shape book? I am looking for age appropriate things for my 2 yr old twin boys. I don't know if they are ready for this yet, but this looks nice. The Fox and the Crow, I remember this as a young child. Will start looking for it. Many blessings.
The worksheet came out of the 'Effective Pre-Reading' book. The book is by Shirley Bricknell, and is published by Oxford.
Chloe turned 4 in April and I am just starting her on it now.
Thank you again.
