Week 36

This week Chloe read from this book:

Yep, she's reading the REAL thing~!!  Not a children's version, not abridged.   REAL.  And loving it.

It's a beautiful, hard cover collectable copy.  Sprinkled with delicate lined drawings as well.

It is such a delight to see my child grow.

Another cool thing that was new this week is that I took both Phebe and Hannah on a detour with the Maths department.  We started this little workbook.  I want them to just finish Grade 2 with as many skills as they can get before we jump back into it all with a new year.

We only have 2 more weeks left of school.  This has basically brought the girls down to only 3 subjects each day.  Reading, Math, and Writing.  Today Chloe will be doing her little essay on "Ants".  There'll be another post about that later on though.

In the fun read aloud department we have 'In the Reign of Terror' by G. A. Henty:

It will probably take us to the end of the month.  After that it will be comet and star time with some school holidays thrown in.
