A and AN

It was discovered that a certain little girl needed a reminder about how these went this past week, so this is what I whipped up for her to practice with.

If you'd like a copy for additional practice just click the following picture.
It has 20 cards to sort into the two groups.
Today I am linking up with:

Blue Sun Blotched Tilda

It's another beautiful HOT heatwave weekend here in Australia.  Such beautiful weather requires relaxation and quiet creative time - especially when my gorgeous little 1 year old is sleeping in the little girls bed in the big girls bedroom.

Here she is earlier today trying to color in.

So while the princess was asleep Chloe and I made a card each.

Here's how mine came out.

Tilda is pop dotted off the page - of course.

I applied quite a good amount of glitter to the flowers.

And one can never go wrong with some gingham ribbon.

LOL on poor Tildas face.  She's got sun blotches today.   Guess I need more practice.  :o)

And because it wouldn't be as much fun if I kept her all to myself so today I'm linking up with:

I hope you will join us.

Bible and Memory Work

This week the girls worked on Genesis 1:27.

And the same verse but a different craft activity.

We also worked on our New Testament mini bibles too.  I'll have to show you that another time though.

* * * * * * * * *

And just in case you'd like to join us,

Do Not Depart are taking registrations for their next Bible Memory Challenge.  They are going to be doing Psalm 71.

Here's my first card with the first two verses on it - even though they won't be starting until Jan 13, I just thought I'd get a head start.  :o)

I hope you can join us.

Week 1

Well, we've come to the end of our first week of back to school.

This week we had our noses in these:

Chloe and Phebe did Art with watercolours.

We also did chapter 2 from SOTW III

We also read from The World of Capt. John Smith - and it worked out perfect for additional information on Philip II and William the Silent.

Hannah started LTR 102

Hubby was very surprised at how well she was reading and writing.

She also did some counting.

Thanks for visiting.

Back to Highschool

Just thought I'd come and share a couple of things that my highschoolers did this week so far, now that we are back to school.

We began poetry.  LOL

They have to copy a poem each week and give a recitation of it on Fridays.

This is what Caleb - 15 did for his.

This is what Daniel - 16 did for Art.  I was really happy with this because over the years the boys have pretty much been alergic to doing any form of art so I never pressed or forced them to do much.

Thanks for visiting.

New Baby

Today I got a new addition to the family.  She's such a tiny little thing, but wow, did she make an entrance this morning.

She works awesome.  All the girls had so much fun hanging out with her too.

We haven't named her yet, so if you have any suggestions just let me know.

Oh and I hope I don't have to feed her too many batteries.  She eats 4 of them at a time.

Do you have any of her siblings or relatives?

Thanks for visiting.
