Animal Comprehension Test Time Bundle

I'm doing something that I don't normally do.  I am going to make a BUNDLE.  Yep, I'm going to bundle up all my little animal comprehension / test times together and make a bundle with them.  I do sell them individually, and I also put them in their corresponding lapbooks.  However, what to do if someone just wants a nice collection of mini stand alone animal comprehension worksheets?

Drum roll.......

An Animal comprehension test time BUNDLE.

Animal Test Time Comprehension BUNDLE

I am starting it off with 4 animals and will continue to grow it as I add more.

Each page is a stand alone and the questions relate to the mini passage at the top of each page.

I'm really enjoying adding all these cool new things.

Other Items We Traveled Through In August

Chloe worked on finding midpoints with x,y co-ordinates.

Phebe got through this little collectable beauty.

A bat craft.  Yes, I know we already finished our Bat lapbook but.... it was too cute a project to pass up.

Chloe finished Bible 6.

And I gave her the next book in the series.

What I saw in Chloe's Geography this week.

July Wrap Up

Yep, we're at the end of another month.

Chloe gave me some really beautiful work this morning for her Geography:

Hand drawn...

Hand drawn...

We finished up Charlotte's little Bat lapbook with a few little extras.  Here's one of them:

We just made a little pocket for it under the labeling activity and folded it up and tucked it in.  She LOVES it!

I started packing books - since this photo was taken I've actually got the next bookcase down to a single shelf.

and yeah.....

Charlotte and Her Bat Lapbook

We've made a great start to Charlotte's Bat Lapbook.

We read this book:

Colored the cover to the lapbook.

Read the passage and did the cloze activity.

Looked at some vocabulary words.

Read from this book:

Put in all the pockets....

Did some copywork.....

A Compare and Contrast
You know, I never got the hang of these until I started homeschooling my own children........yep, I got through my entire education without ever learning how to do these, or use the words compare and contrast in an essay, I kid you not.

Yeah, so this is where we are at the moment, next week we continue.....

Just in case you are wondering about what other types of things are in the lapbook you can easily check out previous ones to get a really good feel of what I put in them.  Additionally, you should also know, that I have been updating them if I find any errors or want to add new material.  Yeah, so there's been a few of those.  :)

And...... I'll do a follow up post with some pictures of the completed Bat Lapbook once Charlotte has some show and tell.  Keep an eye out for that!

Art Bat Drawing

One of the things that I love about homeschooling is that we have the freedom and flexibility to do totally random themes whenever we like.

Art this week consisted of drawing a Bat and coloring with oil pastels.

Thanks for visiting.

Week 4

Wow, can you believe we have gotten to the end of Week 4 already?

Today I'm going to start off by sharing a photo of my little cutie patootie Charlotte.  I can't believe how quickly she is growing.  We've moved her out to the big girls room now.  She is a total DREAM when it comes to bed time.  I just pop her in her cot and she puts her thumb in her mouth and rolls over comfy and goes to sleep without a problem.

During the day she's a full on explorer, climber, pencil tooting toddler.  She LOVES trying to draw with pencils.  She spends her day getting into all sorts of things.

This week we had our noses in this book { so we could work on our Bat theme }:

I posted a FREE Bat Day Packet earlier in the week so if you need some extra worksheets for a Bat theme don't forget to have a quick peek for that.

The girls also made a bat each from Lita Lita { I bought her Bat pack }:

Chloe did an experiment for Science with celery and food coloring. These photos were taken not long after we started.  You should see how RED they ended up.

I also had Chloe use these for activity time this week:

Phebe started up some serious phonogram review under the title of spelling like this:

And here's what I had Phebe doing for activity time this week:

I had a third set as well for numbers 31-40 as well.

I also had her add these spelling rule cards to her stash:

For our little rambunctious 3 year old going on 30, I had her count up to 30.

I hoped you enjoyed some of my highlights from this week.  I'm going to save their Bible, Art and History for separate posts.

Thanks for visiting.
