Stamping Morning

This week we're relaxing with a week off school.

So I went out with a friend to a craft morning.

What do you do when you don't have a name tag?

Yep, you make one right there and then.

Then you mess around for a couple of hours until you only have this almost completed.

Wow, am I super un-organised and baby brained out.

Never the less, a lovely morning out.

Some Card Making

I managed to squish in a card afternoon.  Tricky with the little girls who were pretty desperate to stamp as well, but I held my ground and said, no.  I must say, the youngest two were very persistent.  The baby had his moment to add as well.

Today I decided to take a little short cut with some of the card making.

I used some colored clipart for each of the cards.
{ Monkey, Girl in Red, and the Couple }

It was super nice to have a sit down play, but yeah,
I might need a few more years before I can do it stress free.

Thanks for visiting.

Another Card This Week

And our school break continues......  only 4 more days left though, so I'm trying to really enjoy them while I can, however, in all truthfulness, I so can't wait for next week.  One of the things that I'm really looking forward to is Hannah learning to carry in Maths.

A Spring Card

The temptation to resume school a week earlier has certainly been high in my mind this week, but since I really do want to give the girls a good rest from their academics I decided to relax a little myself and made a card for some fun.

I know, it's been like forever since I made a card~!

To my surprise, I even found a stamp that still had it's shop backing on { Australian Tilda }, meaning that I have never used it before.  Crazy.  How long has it been sitting there - never used?  So that's what I used today.

Everything was kept super simple - just so that I could complete it.  What was even more astonishing is that I managed to get it done without an entourage of little girls in tow.

I also used some little flowers.  I'm always a bit scared to use a lot of flowers, but I think that when one uses that type of thing, it probably is best to use a LOT of them.  I think perhaps that I could of gotten away with adding quite a few more even - giving it a much more fuller look.

I found some nice paper to add as well.  Always a bonus.

My only real regrets were not making the ribbon a little longer and in a little more on the page.  The coloring of her hands as if they were wearing a mitten, I should of left it as a skin color instead.  Lastly, perhaps I could of put a little blue sky / clouds on the white - maybe.

Overall, I still think that it came out ok.  Something nice to pop up on display until I make another one.

Weekend Magnolia Card

While we sat and finished off listening to a video I made this card this morning.

Tildas wings got plenty of glitter.

 One of my newest stamps.

So nice to be able to just relax on the weekends.

Thanks for visiting.

Blue Sun Blotched Tilda

It's another beautiful HOT heatwave weekend here in Australia.  Such beautiful weather requires relaxation and quiet creative time - especially when my gorgeous little 1 year old is sleeping in the little girls bed in the big girls bedroom.

Here she is earlier today trying to color in.

So while the princess was asleep Chloe and I made a card each.

Here's how mine came out.

Tilda is pop dotted off the page - of course.

I applied quite a good amount of glitter to the flowers.

And one can never go wrong with some gingham ribbon.

LOL on poor Tildas face.  She's got sun blotches today.   Guess I need more practice.  :o)

And because it wouldn't be as much fun if I kept her all to myself so today I'm linking up with:

I hope you will join us.

You Make Me Smile

Just enjoying the last few days of vacation before we get back to school full time again on Monday.

Something that I haven't done for a little while - I found some time to make a card.

You Make Me Smile

I'm a little out of practice but I still like how it turned out.

There are a number of pieces pop dotted off the page.

I quite like these types of stamps because you can always make a little scene with them.

How's your vacation going?

And today I'm going to link up with:

Salads and Cards

In our effort to increase being healthy we started eating more salads.   We never used to eat these.  But here we are, more aware of what our bodies require to run.

So here's what was in our last salad that we ate.

Half mixed.

What was hiding inside it.

Green leaf salad mix
Red / Green capsicums
Raw cashews
Chia seeds
cucumber
carrot
tomato
salad dressing

* * * * * * * * *

And since it's still holiday time Chloe had some fun with making some cards.
