While we're currently taking a Robinson Curriculum detour for the older girls, little boy continues to preschool, with much enthusiasm.

Today he did a letter { k } alphabet craft.

B is for Bee Alphabet Craft

Today Noah did another alphabet craft for the letter Bb.

And now we are off to snuggle up on the lounge for a "story".  Apparently, since he said earlier that, "He loves stories."

Noah and His Preschool

Moving along with the Preschool for Noah.

Noah is using these two books for his preschool work.

Today he started the short sound of { e } formally.

He's also started the Rod and Staff Math book 1.

I figure that if he just does a single row each day type of thing, that way he gets to do school, but it's not rushed or overwhelming.

Preschool Activities Today

Here are some of the activities that Noah did today:

A simple activity of matching up what is missing from the main picture.  Visual discrimination.

And we also worked on Touch Points.

And he did a little bookwork.

And a few jigsaw puzzles.

A Montessori Pack for the Letter Aa

Today I wanted to share my Montessori Pack for the Letter Aa.

I don't know if I'll make any more, but we'll see.

In the mean time I thought that it might be of some use to you if you are:

teaching the letter Aa,
or numbers to 12,
or doing an apple theme,
or ant theme.

It comes with an anchor chart.

Some 3 part cards in color.

The same 3 part cards in black and white to save your ink.

Some mini books for the children to practice writing.

Some counting cards.

Cards with no numbers, so you could match them up to the set before.

And there's an apple set too.
It's 30 pages.
Enjoy!

Letter A Craft

Noah LOVES his painting and cutting so I also offered him this to do as well.

Pinterest is an awesome place to pick up ideas and links to free printables.

Noah Making a Craft for the Letter A.

Today Noah started his alphabet craft series.  He did amazing.  He painted and cut with the scissors with diligence, focus, and care.

{ 3y8m }

How it looks in his book.

I can't wait for him to start adding more.

Noah even gave himself some ticks for his own good work.

Folding - A Montessori Activity

This week Noah practised folding his little face washers.

A simple activity for eye-to-hand co-ordination.

A great little activity to practice detail and patience in attaining the detail.

He actually really enjoyed this activity.

Find a Way

I found this neat little activity at a local second hand shop while I was out perusing for books.

It has a main board with pathway pieces.  The idea is to take a card from the box and then make the pathway from one animal to the other.

It gets more complicated when trying to do both sets at the same time.

Just something I found by accident, but I think will be a great little activity to re-visit as we go along.

Laminating Day

Today I had a laminating day....

I had my stash of printables all good to go....

Surprisingly, it didn't take as long as I thought it would, but I was solid on getting them cut asap as they came out of the laminator.

Montessori 3 part cards for Multiplication 3x

Clip cards for Noah in a summer theme.

More clip cards for Noah in a mermaid 10 frame theme.

Geometry shapes clip cards for Charlotte.

More Montessori multiplication 3x - but clip cards this time.

Birds and their eggs.  It's supposed to be 3 part cards, but I decided that we should only cut them to two to begin with.  They are absolutely gorgeous, and I've already had a lot of interest from the children about them.

More counting clip cards for Noah.

And how they look all baggied up when I was done.

Just making the most of the laminating and preschool stuff, since Noah is the last baby - and I won't need them after him.

Are you doing the laminating rounds at your place?  What are you laminating??

Self Correcting Math Counting Puzzles

Today Noah tried these self correcting Math counting puzzles.

The FREE apple jigsaws came from HERE:

I'm not sure where these ones are, but I'm looking for them.

If I can find a link for these two, I'll come back and let you know.
