Like a lot of things at my house it takes us a while to cycle through things thoroughly. Always lots to do, not enough time though.
Here's some additional Penguin work that the girls had their hands on.
Penguin Masks. We tried adding the beaks but that proved to be more troublesome than without, so they didn't last long.
They were a hit though and kept the girls interested for an afternoon. :o)
Today we had these out:
The idea is to make a nice long poster ( 3 x A4 landscape ) of different types of Penguins. It's a color by code. The girls started, but haven't finished yet.
I got these from a Scholastic book that only cost me $ 1. Yep, bargain right? You should see what else is in the book. We shall be having more Penguin projects for a while yet. :o)
The one I've got for show and tell here is Hannahs.
Thanks for visiting.
Those masks are cute!
ReplyDeleteCurious- do you take a summer break? or do you just keep going? Are you able to make your own vacation times?
I always wondered those types of things.

Yep, we normally take a summer break. We had 8 weeks off { November and December }. We just make our own vacation times. Although in public schools they take 6 weeks off from mid Dec and all of January, so all my teacher friends here in Australia are almost ready to go back and start their new school year. :o)
ReplyDeleteThis week is week 4 for us, and I have 2 weeks off planned after we finish week 6. This year I've divided it all up with 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. So we'll see how that goes. :o)
